Recently, the list of China’s top 30 ALB China 2020 has been released. As one of the largest comprehensive law firms in China, Long An has been selected as the 12th place in the list with its excellent professional ability and excellent comprehensive strength.
Asian Law Business (ALB) is a cutting-edge legal magazine owned by Thomson Reuters and one of the most influential legal media in the world. The list of “China’s top 30 law firms” is selected once a year, and its awards are awarded to the most outstanding law firms in various professional fields.
After being listed on the list, director Wang Dan, executive partner of Long An law firm, was interviewed by ALB on the topic of improving management system, strengthening professional construction, actively cultivating talents and sustainable development in the future. Below are abstract of the interview:
Facing the advantages and challenges of scale-up, director Wang said: “in the face of the increasingly complex and extensive demands of the legal service market in terms of geographical, industrial and professional fields, Long An’s huge advantages lie in the staffing, the universality of branches and the construction of internal professional teams, which can better meet the needs of clients.”
In view of the problems in the management of the large-size law firm, director Wang also shared: “the most important experience of Long An is the parallel management of the management committee and the council committee. The management authority of headquarters management and national major affairs decision-making is entrusted to the management committee, while the development related affairs such as brand development, business development and internal training are handled by the Council,which greatly gives full play to the initiative of the national partners, and great results have been achieved.
When it comes to talent strategy, director Wang also shared Long An’s strategies in talent attraction, training and management: “On one hand,Long An attaches great importance to the introduction of partners.This year, we have introduced many excellent partners in both the headquarters and local branches. At the headquarters level, we have recruited more than 10 new partners, greatly expanding our professional team. On the other hand, we pay more attention to the training of young lawyers.In 2019, we have held two internal training camps nationwide in Long An to strengthen the training of the youth. The cultivation of talents will help them become excellent professional lawyers as soon as possible. ”
Looking forward to the future, director Wang said: “Long An will always develop in the direction of a national comprehensive law firm. In the future, we will focus on the implementation of “law firm management integration” and “service area globalization”.2022 will be the 30th anniversary of Long An. We have already started the drafting of the three-year plan. We hope that in the next three years, Long An can make a qualitative leap in the above two matters, and make a further improvement in the size, professionalism and overall income of the law firm. In the future, Long An law firm will be among the top in China. ”
