The Foreign-related Lawyer Talent Pool List of Beijing Lawyers Association expanded, with several lawyers from Long An included

Recently, Beijing Lawyers Association announced the Foreign-related Lawyer Talent Pool List of Beijing Lawyers Association (2023), and the lawyer Chengyan Alice Zhao and lawyer Yan Zhang from Long An were honored to be selected after a rigorous selection process.

 

It is reported that Beijing Lawyers Association expanded its talent pool of foreign-related lawyers in the aim of improving the standard and the international influence of foreign-related legal services of Beijing and cultivating highly qualified foreign-related lawyers who are well-versed in international rules and have a world vision and global perspective. After a citywide organization of declarations and rigorous evaluations, the Beijing Lawyers Association Foreign-Related Lawyer Talent Pool List (2023) was formulated, with a total of 320 lawyers included in the expanded pool.

 

Looking ahead, Long An will continue to strengthen its international development and expand its team of foreign-related lawyers, aiming to provide more professional and high-quality legal services for Chinese companies going global and foreign companies coming into China.

       Ms. Chengyan Alice Zhao is a lawyer with LL.M of China University of Political Science and Law. She has been engaged in foreign-related trademark agency work since graduation and has handled over 5,000 cases involving foreign-related trademark applications, oppositions, invalidations, cancellations and various other matters, and over 200 cases of foreign-related trademark administrative litigation. Through solid and professional case-handling skills, Ms. Zhao has earned the trust and praise of many foreign clients. The cases she represented have been selected as top cases and typical cases by the Supreme People’s Court, China Trademark Association, Trademark Review and Adjudication Board, and the Quality Brand Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment. At the same time, Ms. Zhao is committed to enriching her theoretical knowledge and has published several articles in intellectual property professional journals and relevant websites both domestically and internationally. She has also delivered speeches at several international events such as INTA, AIPPI, BRICS IP FORUM, etc.

       Ms. Yan Zhang is a lawyer with 20 years of experience in IP. She previously served as the Deputy Director of the Domestic Trademark Department at a large patent and trademark agency. She holds a Master degree in Law of Peking University and an LL.M from the United States. She has been awarded the “Advanced Individual in the Implementation of National Intellectual Property Strategy” by the Intellectual Property Strategy Implementation Department of the CNIPA, making her the only selected individual from the intellectual property agency. Ms. Zhang has extensive practical experience in domestic and international trademarks, with clients ranged from large central enterprises and leading internet companies to Fortune 500 companies. In addition to trademark registration and strategy, she specializes in handling significant, complex, and difficult cases such as invalidations, oppositions, and litigation. She has successfully handled numerous influential cases, such as the “Double Eleven” series trademark invalidation litigation and the “XCMG” overseas trademark dispute, earning her the trust and praise from many clients through her professional abilities.
