Recently, Senior Attorney, Li Rui, Lin Lei and Dong Rui were entrusted by a Shanghai state-owned enterprise to represent their Manager – Mr Yuan who was accused of illegally occupying agricultural land. According to the judicial process, this case was been transferred to the procuratorate of the city by the Jinning Forest Public Security Bureau of Yunnan Province, and our defense team successfully defended Mr Yuan.
The Jinning Forest Public Security Bureau accused that during Mr Yuan did not obtain the approval of the forestry authorities, and rented the local villagers’ forest land to carry out the earthwork construction work and caused the forest land to be destroyed during 2015 to 2016.
After reviewing the case information and consulting the relevant files, Our defense team submitted an effective plea of not guilty against the People’s Procuratorate of Anning Municipality and they pointing out that the accusations and facts of the Jinning Forest Public Security Bureau were flawed and with deficient evidence involved. The People’s Procuratorate of Anning Municipality finally accepted the plea and decided to withdraw the accusation against Mr Yuan.
