The “Shangsheng · Xinsuo” urban renewal project jointly developed by Shanghai Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Vanke Real Estate Co., Ltd., was officially opened to the public on May 25, 2018. The urban renewal project is located in Yanan West Road No. 1262, Changning district of Shanghai, covers an area of about 62 acres (4,101,7 square miles). In 1928, Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec, the most famous architect in Shanghai that time, had designed those houses. After the renewal, it becomes a new urban business district integrating office, entertainment, life and culture functions.
Shanghai Institute of Biological Products Co., Ltd. was founded in 1949, has a leading position in the field of biological products research, development, production and management. As the property right holder, it organized this renewal project. This project may serve as a model to the state-owned enterprise stock assets reconstruction and excellent historical building protection development as well as urban renewal exploration.
