From August 28 to August 30, Guangdong Lawyers Association, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and ICC Arbitration jointly held the “Guangdong Foreign-related Lawyers Leading Talent Training Course – International Arbitration Panorama Training” at Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, nearly 30 senior domestic and foreign arbitration lawyers and arbitrators were invited to conduct lectures and synchronized live broadcasts. More than 800,000 people watched the three-days training live broadcast online. As one of the event venues, Long An Law Firm, Shenzhen Office successfully supported and participated in the activity.
The whole process of the activity was in English, and nine topics were elaborated around the common issues of arbitration application, defense, selection of arbitrators, avoidance of conflicts of interest, determination of scope of trial, and drafting of arbitral awards in international arbitration. Under the guidance and leadership of nearly 30 domestic and foreign arbitration experts from Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and other countries, the 30 foreign-related leading talent lawyers from Guangdong Province have a deep interaction and participation. This activity not only deepened the understanding of the participants in the rules of ICC Arbitration and the rules of Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration rules, but also improved the ability of the participants to operate international arbitration cases in practice. It received very good training results.
As one of the sub-districts in the Guangdong area, the Shenzhen Offices participated in the activity. In addition to opening live video in the conference room throughout the day for many lawyers and professionals inside and outside the office to study, some lawyers have also been interviewed by relevant media. In addition, Long An International Cross-border Trade and International Dispute Resolution Committee also organized Long An lawyers to watch and participate offline. It is widely said that the content of this training activity is targeted, novel and unique, and close to the actual practice of lawyers, which is a very high level and perfect training activity.
It is understood that the founding partners of Shenzhen Offices, Jia, Hongwei and Lai, Xiangdong, as the leading lawyers of foreign-related businesses in the country and Guangdong Province, participated in the on-site training activity with the trainees. As the director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and Foreign Affairs Working Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association, Mr. Jia, Hongwei also actively participated in the planning, organization and partial presiding of this activity.
In recent years, Shenzhen Offices, as one of the first law firms engaged in foreign-related legal business assessed by the Guangdong Lawyers Association, has fully utilized the advantages of Shenzhen as the starting point of the “Maritime Silk Road” and actively engaged with various professional platforms in the industry to develop foreign-related business, and has made a gratifying progress. In the list of the first batch of nearly 1,000 national foreign-related lawyers recently announced by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China, the lawyers of Long An: Jia, Hongwei, Quan, Xianzhi, Wan, Yingjun, Luo, Jie, Lai, Xiangdong, Yan, Yan, Jing, Yuan, Fu, Jianjun and Yang, Peng are all on the list.
