The China Banking Law Society, China Cinda and Long An agreed to hold a seminar on the management and disposal of non-performing assets in the context of large-capital management on June 9 at the Scitech Hotel in Beijing. The conference brought together elites from industry, academia, regulatory authorities and judicial departments to discuss the following major issues: 1. The impact of the new regulations on the disposal of non-performing assets; 2. The system, functions and limitations of the current judicial interpretation of non-performing assets; 3. The background, realistic dilemmas and legislative proposals of the Hainan meeting minutes; 4. Transaction structure, core clauses and legal effects in the disposal of non-performing assets; 5. Practice, problems and suggestions for the disposal of bad debts by online auctions; 6. Other theoretical and practical issues in the disposal of non-performing assets. The research results obtained at the conference will be submitted to the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China as a reference for the formulation of judicial interpretation.
